چکیده

Attapulgite clay (AC), which is rich in good adsorption, catalysis, rheology and heat resistance, an important mineral resource. However, the roles of AC regulating stress tolerance plants have not been investigated. In this study, culture pot experiment was used to analyze effects applied into soil on growth physiological metabolism okra plants. The significantly enhanced salt drought Component analyses showed that significant increases ABA, proline, soluble protein, sugar photosynthetic pigment content, as well decreases hydrogen peroxide, superoxide anion radical malondialdehyde content were observed grown with 30 g/kg under stresses. Enzymatic indicated activities 9-cis-epoxycarotenoid dioxygenase, pyrroline-5-carboxylate synthase, dismutase peroxidase also increased These results demonstrate can alleviate damage caused by stresses, leading has potential be develop plant regulators enhance abiotic stresses

Improving Effects of Salicylic Acid on Morphological, Physiological and Biochemical Responses of Salt-imposed Winter Jasmine

To investigate the positive effects of salicylic acid (SA) on morphological and biochemical traits of salinity stress-imposed winter jasmine, an experiment was conducted in a research greenhouse. The experiment was conducted using a factorial experiment based on completely randomized design with four levels of salinity stress (2, 4, 6, and 8 dS.m-1) as the first factor and different levels of S...

Influence of Si Supplementation on Growth and Some Physiological and Biochemical Parameters in Salt-Stressed Tobacco (Nicotiana rustica L.) Plants

Tobacco is a salt-sensitive glycophyte crop species. In this work effect of silicone (Si) supplementation (1 mM as Na2SiO3) was studied in Nicotiana rustica L. cv. Basmas grown hydroponically in growth chamber under control, low (25 mM) and high (75 mM) NaCl concentration for two weeks. Dry matter production of leaves was depressed by salinity level as low as 25 mM and higher salt concentration...

Mechanisms of salt tolerance in plants

The increasing prevalence of soil salinity is one of the most significant obstacles to improving crop productivity. Recent advances in genetic and molecular analysis of Arabidopsis thaliana mutants, ion transporters and stress signaling proteins have improved our understanding of the mechanisms of cellular ion homeostasis and its regulation in plants. Since Na toxicity is the principal stress c...

Effects of seed pretreatment with 24-brassinolide on physiological and biochemical characters in tomato plants under salt stress

In order to study the diverse effects of seed priming with 24-epibrassinolide (EBL) (0, 0.1, 1 mg/l) to increase tolerance of tomato plants (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) to salinity (0, 70 and 140 mM NaCl), the experiments were conducted as factorial based on completely randomized design at greenhouse condition. Results showed that salt stress significantly decreased the growth of tomato plan...
